Tremor and Blood Pressure Drugs

Question:  My doctor is sending me to a neurologist for my hand/arm/head tremors and he mentioned that propranolol may help. He is waiting for the neurologist's recommendation. What do you think?

Dr. Bruno’s Response: Ask your physician if they have diagnosed the “type” of tremor. Propranolol may help certain types of tremor, like essential tremor. But your doctors should be aware that propranolol has been known to cause fatigue in polio survivors.
