Dare to Dream (Video)

How Rotary became the Heart and Soul of Polio Eradication

There were just three of us at the time. There was so much opposition, but we had faith that this is just the beginning of a whole new horizon for Rotary. If we, all of us, knew then what we know now, I doubt we would have taken it on. It was a huge dream. A little bit naïve I suppose, but I'm glad we did it.

You have to have a little bit of vision imagination and determination. There were a lot of times we could have given up, turn back said it's too big. This can't be done. We know that if you believe enough in something, you get it done.

My theory has always been if you don't ask for the credit you can accomplish anything. People can join together and do great things. “Rotary birthed the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.”
