PPS - The Australian Experience - Physiotherapy (Video)

“I really think that the most useful role of physiotherapist is to be involved in setting up exercise programs for people because that's quite a complicated area. You need someone who has a good understanding of polio to start off with, but also a good understanding of of joints and the potential problems with joints. Polio can affect all the muscles around a particular joint and you do have to be quite careful what you then do with that joint long term in exercising it and not straining it through activity.”
